Classic Aussie Reds Pack
4 bottles of classic Aussie reds from across the country. 4 natural wines that even your dad will enjoy!
Bruno & George Single Vineyard Grenache 2014
Probably the most classic wine that we have at Wander, this Barossa Valley Grenache shows dense aromas of red berries and earthy forest floor. Maturation was in seasoned hogsheads, resulting in minimal oak influence. Berry fruits, hints of strawberries and cream, combine with some stalky whole bunch herbaceousness. The palate is rich but soft and compliments most meat dishes.
Pot a Cab Sav, Continental Platter 2019
100% Margaret River biodynamically-farmed fruit. The nose is appealing, flaunting pyrazine aromatics of bell pepper and peppercorn and flavours of coffee, bitter chocolate and wood tannin.
The Vincent Grenache, Cirillo 2019
The Cirillo Vincent Grenache is year after year one of the country's best value Grenache, and the 2019 release is no exception. Vincent is a charismatic character, just like his maker. It bucks the trend of big, sweet, oaky Barossa Grenache and sits firmly in the bright, cheery and gluggable camp. A portion of whole bunches give it a lifted perfume and silky texture, while the use of older French oak and stainless steel ensure this is a lot brighter and bouncier than many of its Barossa counterparts.
Vinteloper Touriga Nacional 2017
"Touriga warms your soul. Its a sunny winter day in a glass. " Dave Bowley is doing some very good things out of his Adelaide Hills winery. This Touriga Nacional is one of those things. It is grown in the warm, rich soils of Langhorne Creek, the climate ideally suited to this hero Portuguese variety. Bowley's is a modern, bright, beautifully perfumed version of the grape and has a more-ish quality that makes it near impossible to put down. If you've never met this unique Portuguese variety, this is one of the most approachable and interesting versions that we have seen.
