Jose Stronaut, Jan-Philipp Bleeke 2020
Pinot Noir. Mosel, Germany
Superb rosé wine with guava, pink grapefruit and little red berry aromas!
After an incredible adventure at Stonyridge vineyard in New Zealand. Jan-Philipp absolutely knew which direction he wanted to take. Back in germany, he continues to persevere and took the resolution to complete his apprenticeship as a winemaker. Fascinanted by the steep vineyards, he eventually ended up in the Mosel, working in the cellars of the Wwe Dr. H. Thanisch – Erben Müller-Burggraef. He stayed for a while at Villa Huesgen (Traben-Trarbach) before joining Jan-Matthias Klein at Staffelter-Hof in 2019, working closely with him at the winery. Until he finds his own land, Jan Mattias has given him some parcels where he can finally practise his own project. Janie produces his own wines following traditional principles, organic farming but not certified. Recently, he has initiated a community supported (CSA) in the farm for the first time in Mosel. Still a tiny production, only few hundred bottles per vintage.
